graceful designs: Sweet Goodness

I am excited to say that next installment of Sweet Goodness Swaps has begun, and I am paired up Rebecca!! The sister swap sounds like a lot of fun, and I can't wait to swap with Rebecca, who is incredibly sweet, and so creative. As a part of the swap, we were asked to answer some questions about ourselves, so in case you were wondering...

1. Favorite Color: Red
2. Chocolate Lover? Milk, Dark, White, or none of the above? Dark chocolate. Love it, love it, love it. If it has little bits of orange in it, I am in heaven.

Yum.

3. What is your favorite craft hobby? It depends on my mood and patience level. Either Soldering or Sewing.
4. What is a craft/art hobby that you would like to start? I am thinking that I want to learn to crochet again. When I was a little girl my grandmother taught me the basics, but I currently don't have a clue. I wouldn't mind being able to make myself this sweater.
5. What craft do you NOT have an interest in or just not great in ( so your partner doesn’t send something you wouldn’t use)? Macrame
6. Do you have any allergies? Dust mites and mold. But I doubt Rebecca would be sending those my way.
7.What’s your favorite part of Halloween? The crisp air, and enjoying my children (my husband eats all of the candy).
8. Do you decorate for Thanksgiving/Fall? A little bit.
9. December Holidays--what holiday do you celebrate? What type of decorations do you like to put up in your house for that holiday? We celebrate Christmas. I suppose I like a simple, classic look. Most of my decorations are hand me downs from others, so I never really developed my own style.
10. Do you have any children, if so what are their ages, boys/girls? 7-boy, 4-girl, 2-boy.
11. Do you have any pets, if so what kind? Dog, Cat, Fish, And Chickens
12. Are you a reader? If so, what type of books do you like? I love to read. I like pretty much anything, but avoid supernatural thrillers. They scare me way too much. I read Stephen King's Pet Sematary a very, very long time ago, and it still scares me.
13. Are you celebrating a birthday or anniversary in October, November, or December? Our anniversary is October 11th.
14. Do you collect anything? If so what type of things do you collect? Unfortunately, it seems I collect too much junk. I do like my cast iron molds shown in this post, but beyond that I am trying to only bring home useful things.
15. What type of things do you like to cook? Are you an appetizer person, cookie maker, dessert freak or a take out type of person? I enjoy baking, I am not a big fan of elaborate meals. My crock pot is my best friend. I recently picked up a stack of gourmet magazines, and told myself that I was going to make one new meal a week, but I couldn't find any recipes that I wanted to make. I do love all recipes though. After browsing the recipes, and reading the comments, I manage to find things I can make.
16. What is your favorite scent? Is there one that you can’t stand? I don't have a good sense of smell. At all. That is a whole other world that is completely foreign to me.
17. What’s your favorite song? Our wedding song, Alison Krauss ~ Looking in the Eyes of Love

18. What’s the last movie you went to see at the movie theater? The last movie I saw was the Simpson's (doing some much needed mother/son bonding). If I had made the movie selection, I would have chosen Hairspray.
